Google Announces $641 Million Investment in New Dutch Data Center
AMSTERDAM – Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL), has committed to investing 600 million euros ($640.62 million) to establish a new data center in Groningen, the company announced on Tuesday. This new facility is expected to generate 125 job opportunities.
Since 2014, Google’s investment in Dutch data centers and associated digital infrastructure has surpassed 3.8 billion euros. The tech giant emphasizes that the development of this new center will focus on sustainability and fostering positive relations with the local community.
