Saudi Arabia’s stock market witnessed a decline on Sunday, with the Hotels & Tourism, Transport, and Energy & Utilities sectors leading the downturn. The Tadawul All Share index closed lower by 0.31%.
Among the top performers were Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co. (TADAWUL:2160), which surged 9.99% to close at 26.75, Saudi Cable Company (TADAWUL:2110) climbing 9.99% to finish at 76.00, and CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8240) rising 9.92% to settle at 41.00 by the end of trading.
Conversely, notable decliners included East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry (TADAWUL:1321) dropping 6.73% to 144.20, Al Moammar Information Systems Co CJSC (TADAWUL:7200) sliding 6.34% to 135.80, and Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8310) declining 6.20% to 14.22.
The ratio of falling stocks to rising ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange was 166 to 113, with 19 remaining unchanged.
Saudi Cable Company (TADAWUL:2110) reached a 52-week high, closing at 76.00, while CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8240) hit a 5-year high at 41.00.
In commodities, May delivery crude oil dropped by 0.31% to $80.82 per barrel. Brent oil for June delivery fell by 0.26% to $84.83 per barrel, and April Gold Futures decreased by 0.83% to $2,166.50 per troy ounce.
EUR/SAR declined by 0.49% to 4.05, while USD/SAR remained unchanged at 3.75. The US Dollar Index Futures rose by 0.43% to 104.11.
